About travel-ER

Born from a Scare in Chiang Rai

When our 4 year old daughter complained that she couldn't move her neck and we noticed she was 39.5°C (103.1°F), while we were in northern Thailand, it was terrifying. We were in a foreign city, not knowing the language, in panic, trying to find the right hospital and how to get there fast.

Thankfully, it was just a bad posture and a common fever, but that feeling of helplessness stayed with us.

That night we needed three things and had none of them: the local emergency number, a hospital where other parents had taken their kids, and someone who understood English. I built travel-ER so no other parent or traveler has to search for those in a panic. It gives you the closest care, instantly, and it shows those three things with every result.

How It Works

Select the type of care you need. travel-ER asks Google Places for the closest open facilities around you and sorts them by distance. Each result has the address, the phone number, the website, and a link to directions.

Three filters narrow the list:

Above the list you see the emergency number of the country you are in. One tap calls it.

No ads, no distractions, just a straightforward way to find help when you need it most.

We also put together travel health info with emergency numbers and practical tips for travelers.

A Note on Data and Privacy

We take your privacy seriously. travel-ER does not store any personal data. Your location is used only to provide search results and is discarded immediately afterwards. We do not keep your search, your location, or the reason you searched. We do not sell or share your information with any third parties.
